PRIDE CAFE
The Nambucca Pride Cafe is not just a great place to drop in for breakfast, lunch or house-baked afternoon delights! The Cafe showcases local arts and crafts, including local Aboriginal artwork - and all are available for sale at very reasonable prices.
On top of the great food, atmosphere and artwork available, the Pride Cafe is also a training cafe with an edge! Mentored by chef Clayton Donovan (from the Jaaning Tree Restaurant in Nambucca) and supervised by professional hospitality staff, youth services staff and training staff, young local jobseekers are given the opportunity to learn the hospitality industry in a real life cafe. The hospitality course equips the students with real work experience - they are then skilled for work in restaurants, cafes and kitchens, in front of house roles, apprentice chef work, waitressing, bar work and more! The graduates leave with a sense of pride in their work - hence the name chosen for the cafe.
The Pride Cafe serves daily breakfast and lunch, as well as catering for functions, kids parties, takeaway meals and community group meetings. The Pride Cafe also aims to help disadvantaged community members by offering a $5 healthy lunch special to eligible members, all you need is your health card.
The cafe is BYO alcohol, has Eftpos available and offers inside dining or outside dining - weather-protected verandah area or a lovely garden courtyard - perfect for your next function.
So the next time you are in Nambucca, why not stop in for some tasty food and enjoy the experience!
For function bookings, takeaway orders or enquiries please call 02 6568 5566 or email pridecafe@nortecltd.com.au. To view the extensive menu choices on our web site click here.
